This Privacy Policy explains how Chartis GG, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Chartis", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with the Chartis Request for Mobile program, the website at chartis.gg, our application form, and related communications (together, the "Services"). It also describes your rights under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and other applicable laws.

1. Who we are
Chartis GG, Inc., a Delaware corporation, is the controller responsible for your personal information processed through the Services. 2. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you apply to Request for Mobile or contact us, we collect the information you submit, which may include:
- Identity and contact data: first and last name, creator or studio name, email address, Discord ID, and country of residence.
- Eligibility data: confirmation that you are over 18, and (where you are under 18) the involvement and contact details of a parent or legal guardian.
- Application data: team size, links to your work, your game concept, the theme it fits, why it is built for mobile, and any other content you choose to submit.
- Communications: messages, call notes, and correspondence you exchange with our team.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit the website we may automatically collect technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, referring pages, and pages viewed, using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
Information from third parties
We may receive limited information from platforms you link to in your application (for example, public Epic Games creator pages, app-store listings, or video channels) and from analytics or security providers.
3. How we use information
- To review, evaluate, and respond to your application.
- To communicate with you about the program, scheduling calls, and decisions.
- To negotiate and, if accepted, administer funding and related agreements.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.
- To prevent fraud and misuse and to enforce our Terms of Use.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use your application content to train artificial-intelligence models, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Consent:where you submit an application or opt in to communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Performance of a contract:to take steps at your request before entering, and to perform, any agreement with you.
- Legitimate interests:to run and improve the program, secure the Services, and prevent misuse, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation:to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site and, where permitted, analytics cookies to understand usage. Where required by law (including in the EEA and UK), we request your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can manage your preferences through our cookie banner or your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Application data for applicants who are not accepted is retained for up to 24 months to consider future cohorts, then deleted or anonymized, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Data relating to accepted creators and agreements is kept for the life of the relationship and as required by law (for example, tax and accounting obligations).
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you and regulators where required by law.
9. International data transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) or another lawful transfer mechanism. You can request a copy of the safeguards we use by contacting us.
10. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- Data portability:receive your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@chartis.gg. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- Delete personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Note that we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a limitation right); and
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
In the preceding 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 (identifiers, internet/network activity, and information you provide), for the business purposes described in Section 3, and disclosed it only to the service providers described in Section 6. We have not sold or shared personal information.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@chartis.gg or use the request form linked from chartis.gg. You may use an authorized agent, and we will verify your identity before responding. We honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
12. Children's privacy (COPPA)
The Services are intended for professional and aspiring game creators and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact privacy@chartis.gg and we will delete it promptly in accordance with COPPA.
Applicants must be at least 18 to apply on their own. Applicants aged 13 to 17 may apply only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Where an applicant indicates they are under 18, we collect the parent or guardian's name and email address and contact that parent or guardian to confirm their consent; we do not review the application until consent is confirmed. The parent or guardian must review this policy and our Terms of Use and be party to any agreement. We collect the minimum information needed from minors for this purpose, and a parent or guardian may review, request deletion of, or refuse further collection of their child's information at any time.
13. Third-party services and links
The Services reference and integrate with third-party platforms, including Epic Games / Fortnite, Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), and Discord. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, which we do not control. We encourage you to review them. Chartis is an independent program and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, notify you of material changes.
